Advance Tech Lending Inc. is a Philippine financial technology and lending company that provides financing solutions for businesses and employees. The company operates through the Advance brand and focuses on working capital credit lines, payroll financing, direct business disbursement, and salary advances offered through accredited employers.

Advance does not present itself as a conventional online lender where any individual can request a personal cash loan independently. Its Salary Advance service is available to employees of companies that have entered into a partnership with Advance. Its business financing products are intended for companies that need short-term support for receivables, operations, or payroll.

Advance financial products

Advance offers three principal financial solutions:

  • Business Advance — Direct Disbursement;
  • Business Advance — Payroll Disbursement;
  • Salary Advance for employees.

The first two products provide working capital to businesses. Salary Advance is an employee benefit that gives qualified workers access to a portion of their salary before the regular payday.

Business Advance — Direct Disbursement

Business Advance — Direct Disbursement is a working capital credit line designed for companies with funds tied up in unpaid receivables. It allows a business to obtain financing instead of waiting for customers or clients to settle outstanding invoices.

Advance states that the product may provide:

  • financing of up to ₱20 million;
  • a repayment period of up to 60 days;
  • access to a working capital credit line;
  • short-term financing without collateral.

The product is intended to help companies maintain liquidity, continue operating, and reinvest in their business while waiting for receivables to be paid.

The amount available to a particular business is not fixed. Advance evaluates the company’s business information and financial records before assigning an appropriate working capital limit.

Business Advance — Payroll Disbursement

Business Advance — Payroll Disbursement is intended for companies that need to fund employee salaries while waiting for payments from clients. Advance finances the payroll and disburses the funds directly to employees.

The official website lists the following features:

  • financing of up to ₱20 million;
  • repayment within up to 60 days;
  • direct disbursement to employees;
  • no collateral requirement.

This product combines financing and payroll distribution. It is designed to help a company pay employees on time even when delayed collections have created a temporary cash-flow gap.

The published ₱20 million amount is a maximum rather than a guaranteed credit limit. The available financing depends on the company’s financial records and the result of Advance’s assessment.

How to apply for Business Advance

Advance describes a three-stage application process for its business financing products.

1. Submit the business application

The company completes a questionnaire and submits the requested business documents online. The applicant must provide information that allows Advance to understand the business and its financing requirements.

2. Complete the credit assessment

Advance evaluates the company’s details and financial records. Based on this assessment, the lending company assigns a working capital credit line suited to the business.

3. Sign the loan documents

An approved company must sign the relevant loan documents and provide post-dated checks. The working capital credit line becomes available after these requirements have been completed.

The official product pages do not publish one standard interest rate for every Business Advance client. The applicable amount, rate, charges, and payment schedule should therefore be reviewed in the individual financing proposal and Disclosure Statement.

Advance Salary Advance

Salary Advance is a financial benefit offered to employees through companies accredited by Advance. It provides eligible workers with access to a portion of their monthly basic salary before the normal payroll date.

The service uses a revolving credit line tailored to the employee. Funds can be requested through the Advance platform and, after approval, credited to the bank account registered in the user’s profile. The Salary Advance service also includes bill-payment functionality.

Advance advertises 24-hour access and instant disbursement for approved salary-advance requests. However, a worker must first register, complete the Know Your Customer process, and receive account approval.

Who can use Advance Salary Advance?

Salary Advance is not available to every employee in the Philippines. According to the company’s FAQ, it is available to active and regular employees of accredited Advance partner companies.

At a minimum, an applicant must:

  • be a Filipino citizen;
  • be at least 18 years old;
  • be an active and regular employee of an accredited company;
  • obtain the employer or HR code needed for registration;
  • complete the required identity-verification process.

An employee whose company does not work with Advance cannot independently activate the service as a regular public personal loan. The employee may refer the employer to Advance, after which the company can consider establishing a partnership.

Employer or HR code

An employer code is required to create an Advance Salary Advance account. Advance provides this code to accredited partner companies.

Employees can obtain it from their HR department. They may also contact Advance support if they need assistance confirming whether their employer is an accredited partner.

Accepted identification documents

Advance lists the following documents among the government-issued IDs accepted for account verification:

  • Driver’s License;
  • Unified Multi-Purpose ID;
  • SSS Card;
  • Police Clearance;
  • Professional Regulation Commission ID;
  • NBI Clearance;
  • PhilHealth ID;
  • TIN Card;
  • Philippine Passport with a signature on the third page;
  • Postal ID;
  • Voter’s ID;
  • National ID;
  • Voter’s Certification.

The applicant must also complete the company’s Know Your Customer requirements. Advance states that its Credit team normally verifies a completed account within three to five business days.

How much can an employee advance?

Eligible employees may request up to 50% of their monthly basic salary. The exact amount available is displayed in the user’s Advance account and may depend on the employee information supplied through the partner company.

The 50% figure is the maximum proportion advertised by Advance. It does not mean that every user will always be able to withdraw half of their salary. The individual available amount is determined through account verification and the applicable credit assessment.

How to use Advance Salary Advance

1. Confirm that the employer is an Advance partner

The employee should ask the HR department whether the company offers Advance as an employee benefit. Advance support can also assist in checking availability.

2. Obtain the employer code

The employee needs the employer or HR code assigned to the accredited company. This code connects the user’s application with the employer.

3. Download the Advance mobile application

The application is published under the name Advance Salary on Demand. The company directs Android users to Google Play and iPhone users to the App Store.

4. Register and submit the required information

The applicant completes the online form and provides personal, employment, identification, and bank-account details. The information is used for account verification and pre-screening.

5. Complete account verification

After the user completes the KYC process and submits the requirements, the Credit team reviews the account. Advance gives an estimated verification period of three to five business days.

6. Request an available amount

Once approved, the employee can select an amount within the limit shown in the application. Advance states that approved funds are credited instantly to the bank account saved in the employee’s profile.

Salary Advance interest and repayment term

Advance states in its FAQ that its interest rate starts at 3.5% and that the amount is payable 30 days from the date of disbursement.

The company also states that all fees are displayed before the user proceeds with the request. The actual cost should therefore be checked in the specific offer shown in the application.

Before confirming a request, the employee should review:

  • the amount being advanced;
  • the interest rate;
  • any additional disclosed fees;
  • the amount to be deducted from salary;
  • the repayment date;
  • the total amount payable.

Advance advises borrowers to study the terms and conditions in the Disclosure Statement before completing a loan transaction.

How Salary Advance is repaid

Repayment is handled through the employee’s company. Advance works with the employer to collect the amount automatically through a salary deduction.

This means the employee normally does not have to make a separate manual payment through a bank or payment center. The deduction should follow the conditions accepted when the advance was requested.

An employee who resigns while an Advance obligation remains unpaid is instructed to contact the company’s support team for assistance. The official FAQ does not describe one universal settlement procedure for resigned employees, so the applicable arrangement must be confirmed directly with Advance.
