Tekwang Lending Corp.

Tekwang Lending Corp. is a Philippine lending company operating under the Tekcash brand. Tekcash is a digital personal-loan platform through which customers can register, submit an application, complete identity verification and receive an individual loan offer using a mobile device.

The company and the lending brand use the same official website:

Company website: www.tekwanglending.ph
Brand: Tekcash
Brand website: www.tekwanglending.ph

The official website identifies Tekwang Lending Corp. as the company behind Tekcash and publishes SEC Registration Number CS201911369 and Certificate of Authority Number 3032. The Credit Information Corporation also lists the company as Tekwang Lending Corp. doing business under the name and style of Tekcash.

Tekcash application

Tekcash is available as a mobile application for Android and iPhone.

Android application: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ph.tekwanglending.tekcash
iPhone application: apps.apple.com/ph/app/tekcash-secure-online-loan/id6740469294

The Android application is published by Tekwang Lending Corp. and had more than one million downloads when reviewed. It was updated on July 7, 2026, indicating that the platform remains technically active and continues to maintain its mobile product. The iPhone application is also published under the company’s legal name.

Tekcash loan conditions

The current Android application publishes the following general product conditions:

  • Loan amount: ₱1,000 to ₱90,000
  • Repayment period: 3 to 12 months
  • Maximum APR: 144%
  • Maximum monthly effective interest rate: 12%
  • Application method: through the Tekcash mobile application
  • Minimum age: 18
  • Basic documents: at least one valid government-issued ID
  • Income requirement: a stable source of income

These are the platform’s maximum published limits. Approval for ₱90,000 or a 12-month repayment period is not guaranteed. The amount, term, interest and charges available to a particular customer depend on the application and credit assessment.

Difference between the Android and iPhone conditions

The Android and iPhone Tekcash listings contain materially different product information.

The Android application states:

  • repayment period from 3 to 12 months;
  • maximum APR of 144%;
  • monthly effective interest rate capped at 12%.

The iPhone application states:

  • repayment period from 2 to 12 months;
  • maximum APR of 36%.

Both applications advertise a maximum loan amount of ₱90,000, but their published maximum APR and minimum repayment periods do not match.

Because of this discrepancy, applicants should not rely only on the promotional description in an application store. The controlling conditions should be the interest, fees, repayment schedule and total amount payable displayed in the individual Disclosure Statement and loan agreement before confirmation.

Tekcash loan example for Android users

The Android application provides an example of a ₱20,000 loan for four months, or 120 days.

The published calculation uses:

  • principal: ₱20,000;
  • monthly interest rate: 3.3%;
  • total interest: ₱2,640;
  • service fee: ₱5,280;
  • total repayment: ₱27,920;
  • monthly installment: ₱6,980.

The service fee in this example is calculated at 6.6% for each 30-day period. As a result, the borrower repays ₱7,920 above the ₱20,000 principal.

This example demonstrates why the maximum APR alone may not show the complete cost of the loan. Service fees and other disclosed charges must also be included when comparing the amount received with the total repayment.

Tekcash loan example for iPhone users

The iPhone listing provides a different example for the same ₱20,000 principal and 120-day repayment period.

The iPhone calculation uses:

  • principal: ₱20,000;
  • annual interest rate: 14.6%;
  • total interest: approximately ₱960;
  • total repayment: ₱20,960;
  • monthly installment: ₱5,240.

Unlike the Android example, the iPhone calculation does not include a separate service fee.

The large difference between the two examples means that the borrower must inspect the actual offer shown on their device. Neither representative example should be assumed to apply automatically to every customer.

Who can apply for a Tekcash loan?

The official Tekcash application publishes three basic eligibility conditions:

  • the applicant must be a Filipino citizen;
  • the applicant must be at least 18 years old;
  • the applicant must have at least one valid government-issued ID;
  • the applicant must have a stable source of income.

Meeting these conditions does not guarantee approval. Tekwang Lending Corp. may assess the applicant’s identity, income, repayment capacity, credit risk and other information before deciding whether to issue a loan.

The public application listing does not specify:

  • a maximum applicant age;
  • a minimum monthly income;
  • a required employment period;
  • a guaranteed credit limit;
  • a complete list of accepted IDs.

The exact requirements are displayed during the application process.

How to apply for a Tekcash loan

1. Download the official application

Applicants should download Tekcash from Google Play or the Apple App Store.

The application developer must be shown as:

TEKWANG LENDING CORP.

Customers should avoid unofficial APK files, social-media download links or applications with a similar name published by another developer.

2. Register an account

The customer completes the registration process using the information requested by the application. An active Philippine mobile number may be required for account creation, verification codes and notifications.

The account should be created and used only by the applicant. Passwords, PINs and one-time verification codes should not be disclosed to another person.

3. Complete the application form

The applicant submits the personal, contact, employment, income and financial information required by Tekcash.

The information must be accurate and consistent with the customer’s identification documents. Incorrect or incomplete information may delay the review or result in rejection.

4. Submit a government-issued ID

At least one valid government-issued ID is required. The applicant may also need to provide a selfie or complete another identity-verification step through the application.

5. Select an available loan

After the required information has been submitted, the customer may select from the amount and repayment options made available in the account.

The advertised range of ₱1,000 to ₱90,000 does not mean that every amount within that range will be available to every user.

6. Review the offer

Before confirming the transaction, the applicant should verify:

  • approved principal;
  • net amount to be received;
  • interest rate;
  • effective interest rate;
  • service fee;
  • other deductions;
  • number of installments;
  • installment amount;
  • payment dates;
  • total amount payable;
  • late-payment charges.

This step is particularly important because the public Android and iPhone descriptions contain different APRs and representative calculations.

7. Confirm the application

The customer submits the request after reviewing the terms. Tekcash advertises quick approval and disbursement, but approval remains subject to the company’s assessment.

8. Receive the funds

The Android application states that an approved loan may be transferred in as little as three minutes. This is a promotional processing claim, not a guarantee that every application will be reviewed and funded within three minutes.

Transfer time may depend on verification, approval, the selected receiving account and the availability of banking or electronic-wallet systems.

Interest and service fees

The most recent Android listing publishes a maximum APR of 144% and a maximum monthly effective interest rate of 12%. Its representative calculation also includes a substantial service fee in addition to interest.

The iPhone listing publishes a lower maximum APR of 36% and provides an example without a separate service fee.

Applicants should therefore compare the following figures in their personal offer:

  • principal approved;
  • net proceeds;
  • nominal interest;
  • effective interest rate;
  • service fee;
  • processing or transaction charges;
  • total cost of credit;
  • total amount payable.

A statement that there are “no hidden charges” means that charges should be disclosed before acceptance. It does not mean that a Tekcash loan has no service fees or other costs.

Credit assessment

The Tekcash privacy policy states that collected information may be used to review an application, assess repayment capacity and credit risk, and determine the loan amount, interest rate and term available to the customer.

Applicants should not assume that the same conditions are offered to all users. The company may provide different amounts, rates and repayment periods depending on the result of its risk assessment.

Personal data collected by Tekcash

According to the current Google Play data-safety disclosure, the Tekcash application may collect personal information, messages and other categories of data. The listing states that information is encrypted in transit and that users can request deletion.

The official privacy policy indicates that device and personal information may be used for credit analysis, risk control and application processing.

Before granting application permissions, customers should review which information is requested and why it is necessary. Access should be provided only through the official Tekcash application.

Repaying a Tekcash loan

The public application listing does not provide a complete list of current repayment channels. Borrowers should follow the payment instructions displayed in their account or stated in the signed loan agreement.

Before making a payment, the customer should confirm:

  • official biller or recipient name;
  • loan or customer reference number;
  • amount due;
  • due date;
  • payment-channel fee, if any.

Payments should not be transferred to an unidentified personal bank account or e-wallet belonging to someone claiming to be a Tekcash representative.

Receipts and reference numbers should be retained until the payment has been reflected in the account.

Late payment and collection

The public Google Play and App Store descriptions do not disclose one universal late-payment penalty for all Tekcash loans. The applicable overdue interest, penalty and collection conditions should be stated in the individual loan agreement.

A missed payment may affect the borrower’s credit record because Tekwang Lending Corp. is registered as a submitting entity with the Credit Information Corporation. The company was onboarded for the submission of live borrower credit data on July 15, 2025.

Company registration

Tekwang Lending Corp. publishes the following regulatory details:

  • Company name: Tekwang Lending Corp.
  • Brand and lending platform: Tekcash
  • SEC Registration Number: CS201911369
  • Certificate of Authority Number: 3032
  • Certificate of Authority date: July 12, 2019
  • Company website: www.tekwanglending.ph
  • Brand website: www.tekwanglending.ph

The company and Certificate of Authority appear in the SEC’s historical list of lending companies. Tekcash also appeared as the company’s recorded online lending platform.

Regulatory history

In June 2024, the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission issued a cease-and-desist order against Tekwang Lending Corp. and several other lenders for failures involving regulatory filings and compliance requirements. The reported deficiencies included the submission of an impact evaluation report, official contact details, online-platform disclosures, complaint-handling procedures, CIC registration and information about third-party providers.

Later records show that Tekwang Lending Corp. was onboarded as a live CIC submitting entity on July 15, 2025. The Tekcash website is active, and the Android application was updated on July 7, 2026.

These later developments indicate that the company addressed at least its CIC onboarding requirement and is currently maintaining the Tekcash platform. However, a separate publicly accessible SEC notice expressly confirming the formal lifting of the 2024 cease-and-desist order was not located during this review.
